Startup Journey: Week 2 - Business Plan

This week was all about the business plan. Starting with keynotes and ending in the weekly challenge, which was to create a lean canvas. And for this purpose, we invited the lean canvas master and project manager - Vesa Hautala, who taught the teams the differences between various versions of it. And, of course, he helped them to make their own pieces.

We also had a thought-provoking keynote and one-on-one discussions with Janne Saarikko. He challenged teams to think if there is an actual problem that their startup will solve. And when it comes to this question, Janne is the right person to turn to, since he is a Strategic Visionary with a passion to create the first-in-the-industry solutions.

Hive - Turku Game Hub

On Wednesday we had the first special day dedicated to our two gaming teams. We brought them to Turku’s most prominent place, and hopefully their future home – Hive - Turku Game Hub. It is a very welcoming space shared between startups and already established gaming companies. People from Morrow Games, Gloriana Games and Snowfall Ltd had a surprisingly long Q&A sessions with our teams. And they were kind enough to invite everyone to join the community and participate in their awesome nerdy events.

Mari Jokiranta's dog

The last but not least matter on our agenda was Mari Jokiranta’s second workshop. This time our psychologist touched upon values and focus of the teams. And as a bonus, all participants got a dose of happiness from Mari’s dog. On this note our week has ended and we were more than ready to embrace Juhannus.

Hopefully, everyone has had a great holiday and now we can dive into the Week 3 of the Startup Journey 2018!
