Boost Turku ry is looking for a Network Manager
Boost Turku ry is a student run non-profit organization focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation. As an entrepreneurship society, we inspire students, researchers and young entrepreneurs to make their dreams come true. We want to raise awareness of entrepreneurship, educate entrepreneurial skills and enable teams to put their ideas into action. In 2015, our Startup Journey was awarded as the Best Accelerator Program in Finland (Nordic Startup Awards).
Boost Turku is looking for a Network Manager to manage funding, grow Boosts impact, and manage relationships with our partners; universities, students, coaches, our alumni network and other stakeholders. During the summer, we have our Startup Journey accelerator program, which you will be working on. You will work together with our Community Manager and The Board to accomplish these tasks.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who knows the startup scene and wants to be a part of developing the startup ecosystem in Turku. The work is self-guided so you need the right attitude to learn and figure out the best ways to reach our goals. Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Finnish and Swedish are considered as advantages. The job involves irregular hours with both evenings and weekends and some amount of travelling.
Following things are important in this position:
Sales and networking skills
Interpersonal skills and experience in presenting
Team-working skills
Any existing networks in the startup scene and experience in working with associations
Understanding of business
The job has a four month trial period which is part time (20 hours/week). After this the job will continue as full time (40 hours/week). Salary is 1500€/month for part time and 3000€/month for full time.
