For the second time in this year Boost Turku were visiting Vietnam as part of ICTEntr -erasmus+ project by European Commission. Vice-president Elias Savonlahti and Network Manager Anssi Ketopaikka traveled to southeast Asia together with Brahea Center of University of Turku.

Project is all about building bridges and collaboration between different partners working in the field of ICT-education. Our delegation from Turku were joined by experts from Dublin Institute of Technology (Ireland) and University of Leon (Spain).

Core of the project is to provide ICT students with an entrepreneurial mindset, soft skills and a professional attitude when graduating from the university. This time we visited Hanoi University of Technology, The University of Danang and Ho Chi Minh University of Technology. During the week we organized lot of different workshops about Event Innovation and Community Building as well as had lot of interesting conversations about how we can all learn from each other.

Besides official program the collaboration is all about building bridges. It was very fantastic to experience the great hospitality of these Vietnamese universities and the enthusiasm of the students about possibility to establish similar kind of student organizations as Boost. Opportunities collaborating with future ICT professionals from Vietnam are endless. Did you know that in Vietnam ICT-company is not considered that successful if doesn't have three figure number of developers. Talking about massive scale! By establishing good networks with Turku and Vietnam we can establish a win-win situation for both parties, maybe set-up even more commercial co-operation and hopefully also help Turku based companies to find experts from Vietnam. Who knows what the future brings? #excitement

In the end this collaboration that has been going on for a very short time has provided Boost lot of new international friends and showed us the great hospitality and joyful nature of the Vietnamese. This is still just the start, but we are going forward together with our Vietnamese friends!
