We are Entis and we offer you exciting, delicious and most of all high-quality insect food.

The world population is growing at a fast rate, meaning we must find more sustainable ways to feed everyone. One way to tackle this challenge is to see insects as a part of a balanced diet of the future. In fact, there are many companies out there already that focus on insect farming technologies.

But what’s the use of all the insect farming if people are not prepared to eat insects? In western cultures insect eating, aka entomophagy -we know, it’s a mouthful - is not a traditional thing to do. Disgust can often be the first reaction among people who hear about insect food for the first time. So how to solve this “YUCK- factor”?

We at Entis put our heads together and decided to grab the bug by the horns - as a result we are now building a brand based on the vision of bringing tasty and easy-to-eat insect food to people’s dinner tables. We are determined to show people how variable and delicious insects can truly be as a source of nourishment.

In addition to our upcoming snack line, we are constantly experimenting with new recipes and ideas and discovering brand new dishes and ingredient combinations to use insects in.

Our company is still young - we just started in January 2017. Since then we have been able to grow our business into an Ltd and have won 2 competitions so far:  First the Pitching Contest at Creative Business Camp Turku 2017 and then Uskalla Yrittää 2017 where we were honored with the title of Finland’s Best Student Start Up of the year. We were also proud to represent Finland in the JA Europe’s European Championship finals.

Our team has a wide range of expertise in food development, law, marketing, restaurant field, event organizing… You name it!  We are a strong unit of 5 with a buzzing hive mind and great energy, all willing to work hard but not forgetting to have a good time along the way.

Our first product is a 20g bag of dried Finnish house crickets. With our first product, we have nailed 2 retail distribution deals already and there are more to come! Our very own web store will open during the summer.
