Boost Turku ry is a non-profit organization focusing on students, entrepreneurship and startups. We want to raise awareness and interest towards entrepreneurship and help young entrepreneurs to start their ventures. In 2015, our Startup Journey was awarded as the Best Accelerator in Finland (Nordic Startup Awards).
Boost Turku is looking for a part-time Community Manager (20 hours per week with a possibility to become full-time) to grow the community, to organize events and to work together with the other players in the ecosystem (universities, student organizations, other entrepreneurship organizations etc).
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who knows the startup scene and wants to build a great ecosystem for startups in Turku. During the summer, you will be working on Startup Journey accelerator program.
You will work together with our Network Manager Anssi and a board of volunteers to accomplish these tasks. In this job you are responsible to setting your own goals and objectives. The work is self-guided so you need the right attitude to learn what is needed and to figure out what to do daily.
The job requires fluency in English but knowing Finnish and Swedish helps a lot. It involves irregular hours with both evenings and weekends and some amount of traveling.
