Don't let the snow fool you. Summer's coming. And it's coming fast. We know because we've been building something very special for you to do this summer. We couldn't be more excited than this.

In startup lingo, Startup Journey is a 10-week accelerator program for early stage startups.

In English, it's the best way to spend your summer by learning, working on your own business and kickstarting your business.

What we are looking for in you?

1. A team. Kickass, passionate, driven and motivated team. We are looking for motivated teams that are serious about what they do and who work well together.

2. A business idea. You don't need to have a company set up or a product launched. An idea is enough. We are looking for teams with startup ideas: that means scalable business model.

3. Commitment. During the ten weeks in the summer we expect you and your team to participate in the organized program (see below), work hard and have fun.

What is it about?

Startup Journey is an accelerator program. It means that during the 10 weeks you will meet dozens of coaches from different fields: product development, business plans, team building, marketing, pitching and more. You get an once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet one-on-one all these coaches during the summer and learn from them and build connections.

During a regular week, we have two coaching sessions during Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday afternoons. They are either keynotes followed by 1on1 meetings or hands-on workshops. Every Thursday we sit down to take a look at the previous week and teams' progression. In the Thursday evening we gather the entire community together for a BBQ organized by one of the teams each week. On Fridays we practice the startup art of pitching.

Also during the summer, we have three weekend-long Boostcamps where we spend the weekend working intensively, having multiple coaching sessions a day and have fun together. In July we take the bus to *ship festival in Kotka to meet the teams from other summer accelerators in Finland and show them what we are made of.

The highlight of the summer is Demo Day. In Demo Day all the teams pitch to the jury and the audience and make their mark in the startup world in Turku. Demo Day is the event where the whole community sees the hard work you've done during the summer.

- Students of Turku University of Applied Sciences have been able to negotiate 10 ETCS with their teachers consistently.
- Students of HUMAK have been able to negotiate 10 ETCS with their teachers consistently.
- Unfortunately for students of Åbo Akademi, we cannot promise any ETCS yet but you might be able to negotiate some with your department. We are working on it!
