Startup Journey: Weeks 6-7 - Networks & Customers
We were feeling very adventurous during weeks 6 and 7 of the Boost Startup Journey, so the days ended up being very memorable.
During one hot sunny day we decided to investigate if there is any life behind SparkUp walls. This is how we found ourselves in Hub Turku. There we had an introduction and a tour of facilities. After that we stumbled upon Rockodile Games - the gaming company, which was a part of the Startup Journey back in 2013. It was very encouraging to see how well they are doing. And as a bonus, our gaming teams got new helpful contacts. We finished the day at the very artistic office of Valohai and Reaktor, where in a true startup manner we got lots of free drinks and merch.

We enjoyed spending a day outside of the office so much, that it didn’t take us long to plan another trip. This time we went further, outside of Turku. After waking up at 6am and catching the 7am bus, we ended up in Helsinki, where we originally was supposed to get to know only Games Factory, but by a lucky coincidence we also had an introduction and a tour of Maria 01.
